RBS settles swap mis-selling claim

Royal Bank of Scotland has settled a legal claim, without admitting liability, brought by the owner of a student housing company who accused the bank of mis-selling an interest rate swap. Stuart Wall, owner of Opal Property, was claiming for damages of more than £400m. The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
