Phoenix on hunt for more deals

Specialist insurer Phoenix Group Holdings is on the lookout for more deals after a string of acquisitions helped to attract “more money than ever before”.

The FTSE 250 group, which bought Axa’s UK investment, saw profits rise for the six months to June 30 by 100pc on last year to £215m. Its shares edged up 2.5p to 775p.
