Murder arrest as toddler found dead in house

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a toddler was found dead when police were called to a domestic incident.

The body of the boy was found in the early hours of yesterday when officers went to a semi-detached house in Wythenshawe, Manchester.

They had responded to a report of domestic disturbance. It has emerged that police went to the same address on Friday after a similar incident.

A 31-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of murder and police were waiting to speak to a woman who is being treated for serious injuries in hospital.

Both the man and woman had left the property to go to hospital when police arrived and found the boy dead.
