Pope to visit Myanmar and Bangladesh border

Pope Francis will visit Myanmar and Bangladesh amid concerns about a refugee crisis on the border of the two countries, the Vatican has announced.

Thousands of refugees from Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslim minority attempted to enter Bangladesh over the weekend.

At least 100 people have died in recent clashes between the military and insurgent groups in the restive Rakhine province.
