Leading light

The Queensferry Crossing was set to open to traffic overnight. The £1.4bn bridge – the world’s longest three-tower cable stayed bridge – will replace the Forth Road Bridge for car traffic between Edinburgh and Fife. It will be officially opened by the Queen next week. The Forth Road Bridge will be used by pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
