Moroccan police arrest Barcelona attack suspect

Moroccan authorities have arrested a man in Casablanca who is suspected of supplying gas canisters to the jihadist cell that carried out terror attacks in Spain earlier this month, killing 16 people.

The cell had around 120 canisters of butane gas, and police believe they accidentally ignited them on August 16, destroying their house in Alcanar.

The remaining attackers then used a hired van to mow down crowds along Barcelona’s Las Ramblas, and later mounted an assault in the resort town of Cambrils.
