French police widen search for missing girl, 9

French police widened their search yesterday for a nine-year-old girl who disappeared during a wedding in the Alps, combing wooded slopes and streams and questioning more than 250 potential witnesses.

A photo and description of Maëlys De Araujo has been shared across France since her disappearance in Pont-de Beauvoisin, Isère, at the weekend. The local prosecutor has opened a kidnapping investigation.
