Toshiba misses deadline for sale

Toshiba has failed to sell its chip business by its targeted date, though the company said it was continuing to talk with three interested parties. Toshiba was aiming to sell the NAND chip maker in order to offset heavy liabilities in its bankrupt nuclear business. The chip maker is thought to be worth between $17bn-18bn (£13bn-14bn).
