Vice-chancellor’s £410,000 package
Oxford University’s vice-chancellor receives more than the £350,000 she claimed in a controversial speech earlier this week, and more than £100,000 was spent renovating her grace and favour home.
Prof Louise Richardson’s total package is £410,000 a year when her pension contributions are included. A spokesman for Oxford University said: “The vicechancellor’s salary is £350,000, as she stated yesterday. She received a pension contribution of £35,000 for her seven months of service in the financial year 2015-16 and no benefits in kind. The university wholly owns the vice-chancellor’s residence and requires the post-holder to reside there as part of a contract of employment.”
