DACA The American dream

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was introduced in 2012.

The intention was to bring young children of immigrants “out of the shadows”.

They were given the right to study at university, and to apply for jobs but they were not granted citizenship.

Nearly 800,000 people are now thought to be dependent on DACA for their presence in the US.
