Ontario to sell cannabis in government stores
Canada’s most populous province, Ontario, plans to sell marijuana in as many as 150 government-run stores after the federal government legalised the drug.
The government says cannabis will only be sold at specific stores or through a government website, making private dispensaries that have sprung up around the province illegal.
Each of Canada’s 10 provinces will come up with their own rules for the sale of the drug for recreational use.
