Christopher Lee’s awards up for auction
Sir Christopher Lee’s widow is to sell the honours he amassed during his life, from wartime medals to film accolades and the badge he received on being knighted.
Around 50 awards will go under the hammer, representing Sir Christopher’s remarkable career. The actor died in June 2015, aged 93.
Lots include his military campaign medals, BFI Fellowship Award and the Knight Bachelor badge. The auction will take place at Spink’s in London on Nov 1. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Denville Hall, a retirement home for actors.
