Attack on convoy halts aid to Sudan

The Red Cross has halted operations across a third of South Sudan after gunmen fired on a 10-vehicle aid convoy, killing a driver. The UN said the suspension, which stopped aid reaching 22,000 people in an area the size of Britain, was the biggest during the country’s four-year civil war.
