Where the buzz is
SIR – Wasps may be eschewing damsons in Northampton (Letters, September 15) for our windfall pears.
They are joined in almost equal numbers by red admiral butterflies – which, for the past two weeks, have arrived mid-morning and fluttered around getting slightly tipsy on pear juice before spending the rest of the day sunbathing on our concrete path. Peter Burroughs
