Ex-boyfriend ‘terrorised’ Isil victim’s daughter
The daughter of murdered Isil hostage David Haines was terrorised by a former boyfriend who trashed a memorial scrapbook that contained photographs of her father.
Bethany Haines, 20, whose father was executed in 2014 by the notorious Isil killer “Jihadi John”, was left devastated as Andrew Murray, 22, subjected her to a six-month campaign of abuse. Murray, from Perth, was due to go on trial by jury at Perth Sheriff Court but changed his plea and admitted carrying out a lengthy stalking campaign. Fiscal Depute Sue Ruta said Murray had no previous convictions and that more details would be given at court later this week.
