Grandmother awarded £33,000 for holiday fall

A grandmother “aggressively” accused by a hotel of being “staggering drunk” and wearing “silly shoes” when she fell downstairs on the Greek island of Santorini has won £33,750 compensation. Carole Peters, 60, of Torbay, Devon, suffered head wounds and a broken arm but was sober, agreed Central London County Court.
