This 1955 Jaguar D-type is set to be the most expensive car ever sold in Australia, with a guide price of £4.7 million for its auction on Oct 14 in Melbourne. Once owned by Duncan Hamilton, the British racing driver who won Le Mans in 1953 (pictured with drivers Briggs Cunningham, far left, and George Abecassis, centre), the XKD510 is the only D-type in Australia.
