Pistorius faces bid to raise jail term

Oscar Pistorius is to face another legal challenge to increase his six-year jail sentence for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013.

South Africa’s Supreme Court of Appeal will sit on Nov 3 to hear state prosecutors argue that the sentence handed down to Pistorius, a double amputee and Paralympic champion runner, was too lenient and should be raised to 15 years.
