Church apologises for ‘satanic’ fashion show

A church has apologised after allowing a “satanic” London Fashion Week show to be staged at its altar.

The show, at St Andrew Holborn, in London, included models in devil horns and with pentagrams on painted faces. Others wore skeleton or vampire dresses emblazoned with skulls, crossbones and inverted crosses.

The altar provided the backdrop for the show on Monday, which incorporated symbols including an Illuminati-style eye.

A church spokesman said: “The parish has always supported London Fashion Week. But this was obviously a mistake, and does not reflect the Christian faith of the Church.”
