Knight and Day (2010)

 Cameron Diaz’s unlikely car restorer June bumps into handsome stranger Roy (Tom Cruise) on a flight to her sister’s wedding. He seems the perfect gentleman – until it’s revealed that he’s a trained assassin and disgraced secret agent trying to clear his name. This carefree romp can’t decide whether it’s a romcom or an action flick, and relies heavily on the pair’s star power.

The Accountant (2016)

SKY CINEMA PREMIERE, 8.00PM ★★

 The one thing there’s no accounting for in this film is taste. Ben Affleck plays Christian Wolff, an autistic savant whose career in financial services has brought him into the employ of some of the slimiest mobsters around. For reasons that don’t add up, our hero’s father (Robert C Treveiler) decides it’s in the best interests of his disadvantaged son to train him up as a ruthless killer.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)

 The ninth instalment of the supremely popular girls, guns ’n’ gears franchise is due in 2019, but this is how it all began. The plot revolves around Paul Walker’s undercover cop infiltrating an illegal street-racing scene in order to nab Vin Diesel and his team of truck hijackers. Don’t worry about that though, what’s important are the genuinely white-knuckle races through the streets of LA.
