Corrections and Clarifications

Owing to a production error, yesterday’s article about Polish pilot Franciszek Kornicki wrongly credited him with 17 “kills” in the Battle of Britain. It was in fact Czech pilot Sgt Josef František who achieved this distinction before he was killed in 1940. We apologise for the confusion.
