Unerring aim
SIR – We are told that boys do better at physics because they learn about projectile motion while engaging in playful urination (report, September 16). The learned researchers tell us that there is “no simple way” to provide girls with the same opportunities to explore projectile motion.
This is not so. During the Fifties I spent many happy hours behind a garden hedge with a water-filled washing-up liquid bottle, squirting passing cars. I invariably had more hits than my brothers. Rosemary Webb
