Central Asia Metals to buy Macedonian miner

Aim-listed Central Asia Metals has unveiled a $402m (£296m) takeover of a zinc miner in Macedonia, as it attempts to diversify operations. The company, which operates a copper mine in Kazakhstan, said the purchase was the “perfect next step”, given it operates “a mature mine, a safe mine”. It has been searching for a new mine to buy for at least three years.
