Conference diary

Good day

Jeremy Corbyn. The Labour leader received a hero’s welcome when he arrived at conference and was serenaded with a chorus of “Oh Jeremy Corbyn” from his supporters. The start was delayed by 30 minutes because of the sheer number of people attending.

Bad day

The Labour team led by Sadiq Khan and Andy Burnham, the mayors of London and Manchester, who were thrashed 6-0 by a team of journalists in the annual conference football match.
