Robot to guest-edit festive Today show

Radio 4’s Today programme is to be guest edited by a robot, it has been revealed, with an AI special taking a slot in the Christmas schedule, alongside editorial turns by a Brexit mandarin and Prince Harry.

The AI show will be “an artificially enhanced version of the programme” to remove human error, according to the Evening Standard.

Other guest-editing slots over the festive period are to be filled by Antonia Romeo, a civil servant who is masterminding post-brexit trade deals, Rio Ferdinand, the former footballer, and Tamara Rojo, principal dancer and artistic director of the English National Ballet.
