Blooming as a Flower

SIR – Beth Bellamy, who was fed up with being called Sweetheart or Darling at her local Tesco (Celia Walden, “Why I love being called Love,” Features, September 23) should try Stoke-on-trent, where we ladies are welcomed with Sugar or, more often, Duck.

I now live in Wiltshire, where I am often addressed as Flower – and feel dead chuffed. Kate Heaton
