Spurs and City set pace in Champions League

Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur last night both made it two wins from two in the Champions League group stage. City beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 at home, while Spurs won 3-0 away to Apoel Nicosia of Cyprus. Liverpool, the other English side in action last night, were held to a 1-1 draw in Russia by Spartak Moscow.
