North Korean record

SIR – The North Korean foreign minister, in New York, stated: “The whole world should clearly remember it was the US who first declared war on our country.”

Ri Yong-ho needs to be reminded that it was North Korea that, on June 25 1950, invaded South Korea. Despite the United Nations Security Council condemning the invasion, North Korea was supported by the Soviet Union and China.
