Lady Lucan, 80, dies at Belgravia home

-

 Police are treating the death of Lady Lucan as “unexplained but not suspicious” after she was found dead at her home in Belgravia, London, on Tuesday. Veronica, the Dowager Countess of Lucan, 80, was married to John Bingham, the 7th Lord Lucan, who vanished in 1974 after murdering the family nanny, Sandra Rivett, and then attacking his wife. Lady Lucan cut off contact with her children after the incident, but they yesterday expressed sadness at the death of their “fragile and vulnerable” mother.
