UK makes 1,500 air strikes against Isil
BRITAIN has carried out more than 1,500 air strikes against Isil since it began its bombing campaign three years ago, Sir Michael Fallon has said.
The Defence Secretary said the UK has made a major contribution as part of the international push to wipe out the jihadist group, killing more than 3,000 extremists since 2014.
As the air campaign intensified last week, UK forces destroyed 17 Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant targets in just one day.
