BALMORAL CASTLE September 29th

The Queen this morning opened the Robertson Family Roof Garden, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Foresterhi­ll, Aberdeen, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of the City of Aberdeen (Councillor Barney Crockett, the Lord Provost) and the Chairman of NHS Grampian (Professor Stephen Logan).

Her Majesty toured the Garden and met members of the design and project team, volunteers and members of staff.

The Queen, Patron, Sue Ryder Care, later visited Sue Ryder Dee View Court, Caiesdykes Road, Kincorth, Aberdeen, and was received by the Chairman of the Trustees (Mr Neil Goulden) and Ms Valerie Maxwell (Centre Director).

Her Majesty viewed rooms and activities and met residents and staff, before placing a letter in a time capsule.

KENSINGTON PALACE September 29th

Prince Henry of Wales, Patron, Invictus Games Foundation, today attended the Invictus Games Toronto 2017 in Ontario, Canada.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended the archery finals at Fort York, 250 Fort York Boulevard, Toronto.

Prince Henry of Wales afterwards attended the sledge hockey demonstrat­ion match at the Mastercard Centre for Hockey Excellence, 400 Kipling Avenue, Etobicoke.

His Royal Highness later attended the wheelchair basketball preliminar­ies at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, 875 Morningsid­e Avenue, Toronto.

Prince Henry of Wales this evening attended the swimming finals at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE September 29th

The Duke of York this morning departed from Kingsford Smith Internatio­nal Airport, Sydney, Australia, for Oman and was received upon arrival this afternoon at Muscat Airport by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman (His Excellency Mr Hamish Cowell).

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said at the Royal Officer Club, Muscat.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE September 29th

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Service of Thanksgivi­ng for the Work of the Defence Medical Rehabilita­tion Centre Headley Court in St Martin’s Church, Church Street, Dorking, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael Moremolyne­ux), and afterwards took the salute at the Farewell Parade before attending a Reception at Dorking Hall, Reigate Road, Dorking.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE September 29th

The Princess Royal, Colonel-inchief, Canadian Forces Communicat­ions and Electronic­s Branch, this morning received Major General Gregory Loos (Branch Leader).

Her Royal Highness, Prime Warden, the Fishmonger­s’ Company, later attended the Election of the Lord Mayor of London at Guildhall, London EC2.

The Princess Royal, Patron, UK Youth, this afternoon visited Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre, Avon Tyrrell, Bransgore, Christchur­ch, and was received by Mrs Clare Scheckter (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire).
