Rapist gets life for fatal stabbing of couple

A convicted rapist has been jailed for life for stabbing a couple to death at their flat while he was facing deportation to Poland.

Krzysztof Gadecki, 38, who accumulated 10 years’ worth of jail sentences in Poland for rape, robbery and fraud before he moved to the UK in 2009, was appealing a deportation notice from the Home Office at the time he committed the murders.

Yesterday, he was jailed at the High Court in Edinburgh for knifing Ronald Kidd, 40, and Holly Alexander, 37, in their flat in Dundee before ransacking the property for valuables last December. The judge told him his actions were “brutal”.
