-

Villagers rescued a security guard from the jaws of a huge python, right, after it bit and nearly severed his arm. He found the reptile on a road in Riau Province, Sumatra, and tried to pack it in a bag. Local media said Robert Nababan had to go to hospital after the 23ft snake sank its fangs into his arm. The villagers, however, killed the snake and later shared a hearty meal.
