Celestial sight

The full harvest moon rises over the White Windmill in Lytham St Annes, Lancs. Thursday’s display was the first sighting of an October harvest moon in almost a decade. Normally the first full moon occurs before the autumnal equinox around Sept 22. The moon was visible across much of the UK thanks to largely clear skies.
