Seven killed in Ghana gas station explosion

-

Seven people were confirmed dead and 68 seriously injured in Ghana, following a massive gas explosion on Saturday night.

The cause of the blast at Atomic Junction gas station, near the Legon suburb in north west Accra, was unknown, according to Billy Anaglatey, the National Fire Service spokesman.

The explosion sent a mushroom cloud-shaped ball of fire into the sky.

Three of the victims remain in a critical condition with many more suffering severe burns.
