Most voters want PM to stay on until Brexit is complete
NEARLY six in 10 members of the public want Theresa May to remain as Prime Minister until the end of the Brexit process, a survey found.
The study by ORB International found that 57 per cent of voters agreed that Mrs May should stay at least until the Brexit negotiations are completed in March 2019.
The survey was carried out for The Daily Telegraph over the weekend in the wake of the disastrous conference speech. It suggests there is little appetite among the general public for yet more political upheaval before Britain leaves the European Union.
Johnny Heald, a spokesman for ORB International, said: “Ironically last week may have actually won the PM some more support.”
