Tax reforms President’s ‘$4,000 pay rise for middle class’

Donald Trump said his overhaul of US tax laws would bring back offshore profits that would equate to pay rises worth $4,000 (£3,020) to the typical American household.

“It’s a middle-class bill. That’s what we’re thinking of. That’s what I want,” he told an audience in Pennsylvania last night.

He offered no further details of how the $4,000 figure would be reached.
