Barcelona unity march by 65,000

More than 65,000 pro-unity Cata­lans marked Spain’s na­tional day yes­ter­day by march­ing through Barcelona wav­ing both Span­ish and Cata­lan flags and shout­ing “I am Span­ish” after the re­gion’s threats of in­de­pen­dence left the coun­try in cri­sis.

In Madrid, troops and po­lice pa­raded in front of King Felipe VI while a fighter pi­lot in a fly-past later died in a crash.
