Rocking the boat

Despite his wife Marina Wheeler’s pleas to stay on dry land to “avoid drowning the foreign ministers”, Boris Johnson invited Ivo Sramek, from the Czech Republic, to join him before meeting with ministers from eight European allies at his official residence, Chevening House. Mr Johnson said the paddle would be a “tremendous success” before he spent a couple of minutes rowing round the lake.
