Emilie Smith, five, sits aloft the UK’S largest ever pumpkin, an orange giant weighing 162st (2,269lb). Grown by champion gardeners twin brothers Stuart and Ian Paton, 56, at their nursery near Lymington, Hamps, the squash is 15lb heavier than their previous record-breaker and has taken them more than four months to grow from seed.
