Ophelia whips up Saharan dust to turn sky red

The scene in Bushy Park, south-west London, yesterday, as dust snatched from the Sahara and wildfires in Portugal turned British skies red as Storm Ophelia unleashed its fury on Ireland, Wales and parts of England. Three people died in Ireland, where the former hurricane brought gusts of up to 109mph. Planes were diverted and roofs ripped off buildings.
