Man charged over bowling alley incident
A 53-year-old man has been charged with a string of offences including false imprisonment and possession of an imitation firearm after an incident at a bowling alley in Nuneaton.
David Clarke was arrested when armed police swooped on the MFA Bowl in Bermuda Park, Nuneaton, on Sunday following reports that a man with a gun had taken hostages.
Police said Clarke will appear in court today charged with false imprisonment, criminal damage, possession of a bladed article, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
