Kenya opposition leader Odinga’s sister in court

The sister of Raila Odinga, Kenya’s opposition leader, yesterday appeared in court on charges relating to property damage by youths at an election centre in the city of Kisumu last week, it was reported. Ruth Odinga, the ex-deputy governor, and Fred Outa, a senator, are accused of entering the centre without authority, obstructing an election officer and malicious damage. The case, sure to inflame an already tense situation, will be heard on Nov 13.
