Brush with authority

SIR – Staying at a hotel in Worcester, I asked if I might have a lavatory brush for my room.

I was politely told that health and safety rules forbade the hotel from supplying brushes. I wonder if the health and safety rule-makers troubled to consult the chambermaids. David J Dodd
