US cuts Burma military aid over Rohingya crisis

The US is withdrawing military assistance units from Burma over the treatment of Rohingya Muslims.

The move came after Rex Tillerson, the secretary of state, said he held Burma’s military leadership “accountable” for the refugee crisis. As well as cutting military aid, the US will consider economic sanctions, it said.
