Girl, 15, got ‘jury bribe verdict wrong’
A teenager recruited by a crash-for-cash gang to bribe jurors mistakenly demanded they find the gang guilty, Leeds Crown Court has heard.
The girl, 15, was one of three people who offered jurors in a manslaughter trial £500 to fix their verdicts but had “got her words wrong”. They allegedly targeted jurors outside the court, trying to get defendants in a trial acquitted or to force a retrial.
The men were accused of a cash-for-crash insurance fraud which was a mansl-aughter case after someone in one of the vehicles involved was killed.
Eight people are charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. The trial continues.
