A £2.5million appeal has been launched to secure the future of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The Heritage Lottery Fund awarded £4.6 million to the Yorkshire’s Magnificent Journey Appeal earlier this year. The attraction, which is owned and operated by an independent charitable trust with no public funding, must now raise £2.5million over the next five years to deliver the investment programme.
