Rowan Joffe’s noirish modern western about alcoholic British cop Jim Worth/jack Devlin (Tim Roth) trying to survive in a corrupt Canadian small town continues to divide audiences. But it does have solid characters, especially the strong female ones, plus Roth and Genevieve O’reilly are perfect together as a fictional married couple. Episode eight (of 10) sees Jack attempt to interrogate London gangster Frank (former Coronation Street star Ian Puleston-davies) about the death of Worth’s son, Young Petey. CM
