Ukraine MP injured in bombing that kills two
A Ukrainian politician wounded in an explosion in Kiev that killed two people on Wednesday night yesterday blamed Russia. Investigators are treating it as an act of terrorism.
Ihor Mosiychuk, a member of the opposition Radical Party, which called the incident an “assassination attempt”, was taken to hospital, but was not seriously injured. His bodyguard and a passer-by were killed. Two others were wounded. “I believe that the initiators are in Moscow, the executors are in Kiev,” Mr Mosiychuk said. The Kremlin dismissed the accusations. The blast, caused by a booby-trapped motorcycle, occurred as Mr Mosiychuk was leaving a TV station.
