Poppies cascade around a giant sculpture of a ‘Centenary Soldier’ outside the Theatre Royal on Grey Street, Newcastle, in the run-up to Remembrance Sunday. The display acted as the centrepiece yesterday for the launch of this year’s Poppy Appeal.
